Great spacious and clean campground. Stayed in site 9 which was fairly large and had good tree coverage. The day use parking/boat ramp fall between sites 9 and 10 which I was unaware of but everyone was respectful so not really an issue. There is also a life jacket loaner station there as well. Site 10 was also a little closer to us than what I expected. The camp host was amazingly kind and polite, and she also had bundles of firewood for sale($5) in case you run out like we did. The vault toilet by our site was exceptionally clean and literally the best I’ve ever seen. Plenty of places to walk around throughout the camp as well as other places to explore on the road up towards Stanley

Martin Lake is serene and lovely. We loved our private campsite. The star gazing was great. We can’t wait to return.

Great area for camping. Will fit one vehicle comfortably, but there is public and day parking that you might be able to use for a fee. Plenty of walking trails and easy access to the lake. Would recommend - just don’t forget the bug spray!

The campground itself is very nice. My concerns rest with the Camp Host. There was no clean up of any individual campsites when a camper left. They just drove by and did not make sure the site was clean. They didn't empty the fire pit or anything. Even though they were present at the time, the one bathroom facility ran out of toiler paper for over 24 hours.
The camp host made a derogatory comment of one of the visitors concerning how they were driving through the campground. Yes, they were at fault, but the accusation was that they had been doing it repeatedly and were staying in one specific campsite which was totally wrong. They were accusing the wrong person.
Lasty, quite hours are supposed to be from 6 am to 10 pm. Why is it the camp host can then run their generator past the 10 o'clock hour?

Beth the Camp Host was one of the best hosts we’ve ever met! She takes very good care of the camp ground and was exceptionally helpful
