Only 1 other person there first week of August - but smoke was a little bad.
I got to be in the hot springs all alone - very fun.
Nice shade - good stop between Garden Valley and Idaho City.

I enjoyed the stay overnight. Facilities were adequate and comfortable with a nearby restroom. I thought the sites might have been spaced out a bit more, but the campers on both sides of us were quiet and respectful. It was a plus that the campground was also a site of one of many hot springs in the area which we hiked down to about 1/4 mi. First a dip in the hot spring and then a cool down in the river! Nice natural addition to the campsite!!

We camped on Sunday night,, so almost everyone else left. It was quiet, beautiful, and peaceful. I loved watching the waterfall across the rive, its changing appearance in different kinds of light. We were a short drive from other lovely places to visit. The only downside was the restrooms, with trash scattered around on the floor.

Overall good experience. Stayed in 16a. In general, in good repair, clean pit toilet, fellow campers were mostly courteous. Campsites are a little close together but overall not terrible.

The site I reserved was not marked as reserved and someone else had already occupied it. I had to go find another site and hope it hadn’t been reserved as well. Vault toilets had been ignored long enough they were nearly out of tp.

Very beautiful campsite. The river is next to it and hot springs are nearby. The campsite is pretty decent size. We were lucky that people did not show up On the campground next to us. It will feel a little bit close to each other but you will still have enough space to your self.

From Boise, Idaho, take Highway 55 to Banks. Turn east and travel on the Banks-Lowman Highway for 28 mi to the campground.
Pine Flats Campground is accessible via Highway 55, which connects to Boise and leads north toward Banks. The campground is located east of Banks along the Banks-Lowman Highway.
