Camp host, Jill, is sociable, and willingly offers information to questions. She keeps an eye out for guests and can reach out to emergency services if needed despite poor cell service; also does a diligent job of caring for camp facilities.

Great hiking; fishing from shore was sparse. Beautifully treed. Great tent sites, clean toilets, friendly camp host. Be aware of the elevation if you have a heart condition.

Host was very friendly and helped us when needed. She also kept the campground in order after quiet hours. Our spot was great with sun and shade by the trees. Water was readily accessible and the lake was perfect. 100% we will be back!

Great spot would have rate it higher except there were a lot of aite with stagnant water which caused a tons of mosquitoes.

From McCall, Idaho, travel north on Highway 55 for 5 miles to Goose Lake Road/Brundage Mountain Resort Road/Forest Road 257. Turn right and travel up the winding two-lane paved road approximately 4 miles, where the roadway turns to a gravel surface. Travel another 6.5 miles to the Grouse Campground turnoff and continue to the campground.
Grouse Campground is accessible via Highway 55, which is approximately 5 miles south in McCall, Idaho.
Elevation: 1942 feet
16 mi drive to downtown McCall (about 35 min)
