Some minor issues include flies and occasional noise from nearby trails, but these do not overshadow the campground's appeal.

We have been coming here for years. But will probably not be back. We got to the campsite there is no water and the bathrooms were locked. We contacted the camp hosts and were told the water would be working soon but the men’s bathroom would remain closed because someone had made a huge mess in it. 💩. The women’s bathroom was open intermittently but locked a majority of the time. There was one hole in the ground available for the entire camp. As we are tent campers we rely on water and restrooms to have a good camping experience. Also the hosts were not friendly or accommodating and at times were rude when we spoke to them about the issues. It seemed they were too busy entertaining friends to do their host duties and clean the bathrooms thus they left them closed. My wife even offered to clean them and was rebuffed. Worst experience in 35 years of camping.

Pretty campground. The hosts were very nice and helpful. We stayed at site 5. It's nice, but out in the open. There is shade, but the provided table is in the sun most of the day. This site is so close to another one, we had no privacy and our neighbors were loud and inconsiderate. We would stay here again in a different site.

The bathrooms again were locked off and on all week. Was told the host that the forest service was aware but said they weren’t doing anything about it. BRING IN HONEYBUCKETS then!! There is 1 bathroom to accommodate 20+ camp sites and 1 bathroom to accommodate the group sites. Make sure to bring up water and heaven forbid you have an emergency to go to the bathroom, it’s a walk. We’ve been coming to this campground for over 50 years, but I am getting tired of the bathrooms and water being shut off and locked. Beautiful place, just use the money to fix the dang bathrooms since you charge so much already.

The group site was good, the out houses were cleaned during our stay. The thing I didn't like is the campground kept sending me emails to update my info, I booked 7 months early. And when I finally did update they charged me 60 more dollars, even though I had already paid the full fee of my stay 7 months earlier. When I tried to get a refund, I was told they increased the nightly cost by $20 a night. Why should that affect my already paid for stay? So don't respond to their emails. And beware of dishonest price policies.

Camp hosts were wonderful! The bathrooms were kept clean, and while the weather wasn't great, the site drained well, allowing us to dry out.

We chose this campground because we enjoy ATV riding and there is a trailhead which can be taken directly out of the campground.
The area is beautiful and the campground was nice although some of the camp spots could have been better groomed with minor things such as cutting down and removing dead and dry pine trees that distracted from an otherwise nice and inexpensive area to stay.
The camp host was a bit odd in his introduction upon our arrival by asking us to keep an eye on any 4-legged pets and keep a leash on any 2-legged pets (children). This seemed odd since there were no kids in our group (3 spots reserved for 8 adults - 6 of us over 50 years old). We shrugged it off as a poor joke and moved on with our planned activities.
The next morning the host approached and accused me of riding a machine off-trail and making new access into our camp spot. I assured him that I didn't do that and that it and explained that it is a well worn path which existed long before our arrival (cut down trees and trampled grass worn to dirt in some places). He somewhat accepted that and then moved to another topic by asking about a problem we had the prior day with one of our ATV machines. I told him not to worry and that we would have addressed on our return home. He then asked again about the problem "out of curiosity" and had to be told that this was not his concern.
We enjoyed the area and had a couple of great rides on what seemed to be an endless trail system from Soda Springs to Franklin basin. We did find that dry camping is available on trail #401 coming out of Ovid. We may try that option when in the area the next time.
