As a North Idaho native, Riley Creek has always been my favorite, my go-to for camping.

Riley Creek is one of our favorite camping spots. The camping spots are spread out enough that you are not on top of other campers, the sites are large and easy to back into and the restrooms/showers are always clean and well maintained. The boat launch and large swim area are also wonderful. There is a good play area for young children and horseshoe pits for the adults. Lots of trails to walk and beautiful views of the river. And if you forgot to bring something you are not too far from either Sandpoint or Priest River to get what you need. It's a lovely place and we try to make it there at least once a year if not several times.

Campground was great. We were only disappointed by the lack of adequate communication concerning a fire ban. We love making fires and had double checked to make sure they were allowed. Upon arrival we were told they were not, though there was nothing posted anywhere on the website or campground. Bring proactive in their part couldβve given us an opportunity to bring our propane fire pit instead of firewood. Nonetheless it is all good. We still had a great time and even got a call from the host letting us know we had forgotten something important at our site after we had already left and had to end up driving back to retrieve it. It was nice of him to let us know right away. Thanks.

We have been going here since I was a teenager. It has the best of all worlds as far as location, level RV spots that also have tent spots, electricity, water and septic dump when you leave. Nice attendants and used to be pay showers are now free! My only gripe is the fact that you used to be able to go drive in maybe on a Sunday or during the week and they had first come-first serve, sights and now everything is online and you have to make the reservations so far in advance and you don't always know what your situation will be when the reservation comes up. Still worth going and we always have a nice time. Lots of things to do from swimming, lots of paved trails for walking or riding bike, or doing some kind of sport activity in the nice park area.
