Everything was great...except there needs to be a garbage bin in the camping area! There is what appears to be a pad right by the restrooms. Its very inconvenient to have to go to the boat launch.
Thanks for asking.

Great place to camp and the personal we're helpful and super friendly. Spot 11 is a bit tight for a 30" camper so make sure and call if you got a larger camper.

Campground is awesome, fishing was great. Brand new pavement everywhere, docks were nice. Everything great except the rec.gov reservation site is misleading in how it works. ABSOLUTELY read your receipt after making reservations. It seemed clear to me that I had reserved 2 FULL days there but I came back to my camper after the second day of fishing out on the lake to find a legitimate state ticket on my window saying I refused to vacate the space by noon. And a fine for over $100. After looking over my receipt it was clear I had only reserved one day. The problem is when you go to the website and choose the days you want to stay, it blacks out those days, implying that you now have them reserved. But what it is doing is blacking out the day you are arriving and the day you are leaving. So if you choose Sat and Sunday it will black them BOTH out. But all you really did is say you want to ARRIVE on Sat and leave Sunday at noon, I guess. This was clear on the receipt I was emailed but not when I made reservations. Maybe just dumb old me, but I’ll but I’m not the first or last. In fact I know I’m not. I had someone in my camp spot a few years ago at Chief Timothy and as it turned out the guy in it also thought he had reserved 2 days not one overnight stay. So be clear, read the receipt and then enjoy your stay. I’ll be back for sure, but I’ll get it right.

There could be a path from the upper campsites to the bathrooms. We don’t like walking through people’s sites so it’s quite a walk snaking around on the roads. Also another trash receptacle near the campsites instead of just the one all the way down by the boat launch would be helpful. The only viable option is to drive down there which means you have to plan ahead before you leave or drag your trailer all the way down there. We appreciated how clean and well kept the sites were.

Although the weather didn’t cooperate, our campsite was very nice. The staff we met were very friendly and welcoming. The host even offered to take our trash to the dumpster for us as we were packing up.
Will stay again.
