The host was not very friendly. His area was a complete disaster with stuff piled everywhere, it definitely wasnβt nice to look at. The soaps in the bathroom kept getting filled up with water rather than putting a new soap in there. I wonβt be staying at Osprey again.

Very nice small camp grounds. Well spaced out camp sites with plenty of room. Not much for swimming but other places are close by. Also close enough to drive to store if needed and other things to see.

Sites are small and had to set up the tent in the driveway in both sites. Sites are on a hill. There are stumps in what could be a big enough spot for a tent. No light in the bathroom and it is a one person, coed bathroom. Had to ask the host to scrub the front of the toilet. Other campgrounds charge the same and are laid out much better and have better facilities. No bear food containers in the camps. Everything had to be put away after each meal. No beach to speak of. There was an access to the water. Peek a boo view of the lake.
The stay was OK, no fault of the campground, it was hot, dry, and smokey. No fires allowed. We left 2 days early. Camp host was friendly and came around about 4 times a day. Almost impossible to get into the more prime camp grounds. This would not be my first choice, but was adequate. Recreation .gov needs to do something about the people that reserve the prime sites in droves. We met a lady from Ephrata that said they had the whole lower loop in another campground, except for one site. she was trying to find who was in that site to try to switch with them. Said they had 23 people who all got online to reserve the sites as soon as they opened up. This is not fair. These people took up half the beach and were in the picnic area. There was no room for anyone else in that spot. Been going to Priest Lake for 60 plus years, and it is harder and harder to even get a campsite. Sad that selfish people have ruined it for others.
