What Guests Are Saying
Boulder Campground offers a fantastic camping experience with clean, well-maintained facilities and friendly, helpful hosts who enhance the stay. Campers appreciate the beautiful views, spacious sites, and well-kept shower houses. While some noted the lack of water hookups at each site and occasional bug issues, the overall atmosphere is peaceful and enjoyable, making it a favorite destination for many.

We have been camping Boulder for many years. We LOVE this campground! Our experience was great with the EXCEPTION of the bugs. We were on site 36 and the bugs were TERRIBLE. Swarms of mayflies (we think that is what they were) all over our campers, flying all around, getting into the campers, vehicles. Everyday. We were also bummed that there is no longer a laundry room. The new shower house is super clean and great, however, we are used to bringing clothes for about 4-5 days when we stay a week. Overall of course we will come back but definitely will not ever book site 36 again. We had the same bug issue last year and thought it was the weather.

First true camp in our camper. Two kids 5/3 absolutely 100% EPIC! Memories made forever. The most friendly camp hosts. Absolutely clean shower houses and bathrooms. The absolute best first place to make memories!

Boulder is by far my favorite campground on Carlyle Lake. While the others are very nice and extremely well cared for, Boulder just feels more remote! Site hosts are incredibly helpful and kind!

It's not lakeview on the one side of the campgrounds. They no longer mow the grass on that side. And the gnats are awful. Be a beautiful place to stay if they mowed the grass, so you actually had a lakeview like the website said.

The sites are always clean and have plenty of room that the neighbors are not on top of you. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. We return because it is very enjoyable.
