What Guests Are Saying
Boulder Campground offers a fantastic camping experience with clean, well-maintained facilities and friendly, helpful hosts who enhance the stay. Campers appreciate the beautiful views, spacious sites, and well-kept shower houses. While some noted the lack of water hookups at each site and occasional bug issues, the overall atmosphere is peaceful and enjoyable, making it a favorite destination for many.

Site 32. Nice and level and very wide site. Plenty of shade. 32’ 5th wheel and full size truck fit no problem. Overall nice quiet campground.

Campground was very nice our spot was very comfortable with room for our equipment. The weather did not cooperate all weekend, but my wife and I made the best of it. We visited the marina store and acquired information for future stays. Only negative was there is a parking lot for a bathroom across from our spot, the depth is not deep enough for these long trucks that haul these trailers and someone had parked their truck “ not actually using bathroom” with their hitch sticking well out into the lane which made it almost impossible to back into our spot without getting off into grass. Other than getting past the backing in situation we enjoyed our visit and will definitely be returning.

The only complaint I have is with the newly remodeled bathrooms and showers
We camped at Boulder campground Carlyle Lake IL. They have deleted the laundry room. The main shower house is open to everyone. No designated shower or bathroom for just men or women. Both men and women are allowed in both. I personally do not like. No water pressure in the shower or hot water. The bathroom had a sewer smell. Nothing good about the new building set up.

Loved this campground. There are a few FHU sites. We were lucky to have one. Site was paved and large. Laundry available in bathhouse. Marina and hiking paths and large lake. Picnic areas and playground. Beautiful sunsets.

Site was excellent, would be nice if more full hook up sites were added. Please finish shower house renovations by next season.
