Always love camping at McNair. They keep it very clean.
I hate the reserve, I live locally and would come out on a nice day for a couple weeks, not anymore. They sit empty all week but are taken for the weekend. What a shame, I am disabled so when I go I want to stay! Will never camp at Dam West rudest camp host I have ever met!

Dam East/McNair campgrounds have great walking, jogging and bike paths. Fishing is great along the Carlyle Dam spillway; walking distance from your campsite at Dam East. Grocery store/Walmart are close by.

We loved the smaller size of dam east (compared to dam west). Rest room/shower facilities excellent. We appreciate how convenient to Walmart and restaurants.

The camp host is rude. I’ve been coming here for years and had no issues when the female was the host. But unfortunately if he is there, I won’t be coming back.

The spillway is a nice and quiet small campground. There is a very small playground that has two swings & a tire swing. It would be nice if the playground could be expanded and updated
