It is still early in the year. They are in the process of putting in water lines so there were a lot of piles of dirt. I'm sure it will get better. The host was nice. Seen the ranger several times and also the sheriff. I liked that.

We love this camp ground close to the water and walking trail. We were also pleasantly surprised this time because they put water at every other site.

These are great sites, level and paved. Loved the walking and biking trails along the river and across the dam.

We had a good stay here, with two exceptions. The shower house did not have any hooks for towel/clothing and the campground had a swarm of biting flies that bug spray did not deter. It did have great hiking/biking trails.

Great little US Army COE campground. It's on the spillway & walking path in beautiful Carlyle IL. Only negative the restroom has no showers.
