The grass EVERYWHERE was at least shin high! It was horrible. I can’t believe they wouldn’t cut the grass any sooner. Also they had a cleaning service that came into everyone “occupied” campsite without saying anything to you and just started cleaning out your fir pit! Talk about invasion of privacy . I will never go back to this campground again.

The only complaint I have is the WIFI is very poor. I tried to connect on 2 different days and tested the WIFI and got very poor results.
The restrooms are some of the cleanest I've found at a campground. The park host was very helpful, friendly and offered suggestions on other Army Corp campgrounds in the area. We have camped at Dam West several time and enjoyed it every time. Make a reservation, the campground fills up, because it is so nice.

We always have a good time at dam west. The host are very friendly. Quiet. And having amenities nearby is very convenient. Sites are well maintained.

This was our 1st time staying at an Army Core of Engineers site and wow the Dam West campgrounds so nice, we were so impressed with the site as well as the public bathrooms. Everything was wonderful and we will definitely be coming back here a couple times a year.

Everything was very nice, except site 112's fire pit is too close to 113's parking area. I had to pull my vehicle up onto the pad.

From I-70, take State Route 127 south to Carlyle and turn east on William Road. Continue for 1/2-mile and turn north on Lake Road to reach the campground or turn south to reach the day use area.

General
- All campsites are reservable.
- No personal checks or cash are accepted at this time. Credit/Debit card only.
- Camping No-Show - Camping no-show customers who do not arrive at the campground or group facility by check-out time the day after arrival or does not cancel the reservation by check out time on the day after the scheduled arrival date will be assessed a $20.00 service fee and forfeit the first night use fee. If the no-show service fee is greater than the reservation amount, the customer will not be charged any additional service fees.
- Cancellation Fees - A $10 service fee is withheld from the refund anytime the customer cancels a camping or day use reservation. Depending on when the cancellation is made, it may be considered a late cancellation and additional fees may be forfeited. A customer who cancels a reservation the day before or on the day of arrival will pay a $10.00 service fee AND forfeit the first night's use fee (not to exceed the total paid for the original reservation). Cancellations for a one-night reservation will forfeit the entire amount paid and will not be subject to an additional service fee.
- Firewood brought into this facility must be purchased, or collected locally due to invasive insects.
