Campsites are very close together. Looks like a lot of campers are there all summer and have permanent structures on their sites. Potentially a cliche ish environment.
We just stayed one night which worked for us. Staff very friendly. Looks like they had a lot of activities for campers and families on a regular basis

This is a beautiful campground on the banks of the Mississippi! The showers were good . The host was friendly and informative. The sites are level and the grounds are nicely maintained. We had digital TV signal and enough cell service to stream

From our campsite, we were able to watch barges lock through on the river, and pelicans fishing off the dam. We rode on the 62 mile Great River Trail that runs past the campground. Restrooms and the entire facility were very clean. A great stay! The only caveat - there is some road noise, and there are a couple of trains per day that run within 75 yards or less from the campsites.

Miles of bike trails all along the river. Channel Cat boats will take you and your bike to the Iowa side of the river where there are more towns and trails to walk/ride. Fantastic area with good restaurants and lots to do.

Just stopped for an overnight enroute west. Quiet night. Didn’t have a chance to see anything.

Best and most beautiful campground. We stay here every time we come this way. Large back in sites. Beautifully manicured lawns and trees. Easy on line check in. If you just drop in you can scan a QR code at each site to see if available and reserve.
