Overall, North Sandusky is a great campground! The camp sites are spacious, most sites are partially shaded, the campground is on Rend Lake, and you can’t beat $26/night for full hook-up. Site #51 at Wood Duck was spacious and mostly shaded. It was easy to back into and included a nice concrete pad, picnic table, and fire pit ring. The only downfall was that it was next to the public restrooms, which caused some foot traffic and less privacy than other sites. At times, there was a sewage smell. The site is also very sloped but still manageable.

North Sandusky is a great, affordable campground on Rend Lake! There is boating, fishing, biking trails, etc. The camp sites are spacious and all have large concrete pads, picnic tables, and fire rings.
Regarding #98 Hickory, it’s a beautiful spot- not directly on the lake but with lake views from across the way. There’s a lot of green space to back of the lot. It has partial shade but does get a lot of morning sun. We liked the way the back-in site and picnic table were set up and facing everything. We have Spectrum Mobile, which uses Verizon towers, and had 1 bar of LTE service so webpages and apps would not load, but we could still make phone calls and send text messages.

The American the Beautiful Park and Recreation Pass is not accepted at this site. Not sure why.

Great site. Plenty of open space. Level site. Host was friendly and helpful. Ranger was friendly and helpful. Only one dump station meant congestion at departure on Sunday. Lots of trail to walk.
