Unfortunately, the campground was a disappointment. I was expecting it to be similar to Lone Point SRA, with abundant amount of space and shade. What we experienced was a parking lot. Sites were cramped and the campground was completely full. Bugs were out of control. . Also, we had to leave a day early due to loss of power/low voltage at site #73. It stopped powering our AC. The Park Ranger responded promptly and did his best to attempt to fix the outlets without success. If you are coming to Lake Shelbyville, I strongly recommend Lone Point RA.
On a positive note, the gate attendant lady and the park ranger were very nice and professional.

If they cared for the bath houses as good as the grounds it would be excellent. Went in two separate bath houses and mold on the walls and mirrors were extremely nasty. Four days there and no change in the baths.

This is a very nice and well cared for park. There are lots of trails to walk, there is a dog park to take the pups to and even a really nice beach to swim at 2 miles away. I have stayed here several times and will continue to visit this amazing park.
