The camp site driveway was very long and wide. It was easy to back into the site since there were no trees along the driveway. It was perfect for fall and we didn’t have to worry about debris, leaves or acorns falling on our camper. We had the sun on the backside of our RV and were in the shade on the entryway side all day long. The campground and facilities were very clean and well kept. While in the area, we made a trip to Springfield to the Lincoln Museum, which was incredible and very well done. We also took a trip to the Johnson Goat Tower Farm, which was very unique and the owners were so friendly and welcoming. We even spent time petting a beautiful goat, Bella, who loved the attention. Another point of interest was the dam and the Corps of Engineers facility. We had hoped to rent a boat and go out on the lake, but it was very windy and got rather chilly while we were there. It was a fun camping experience and a very nice campground.

Even with the lapse in funding, (how dare he!), the grounds, bathroom facilities & cleanliness were outstanding!
