Campsite #47 was cranked but fine for us as we did tent camping, had to pitch the tent on the gravel asphalt. Shower bathrooms were really great and close by. Beach was nice, a bike ride away we visited several times, kids loved it. Would highly recommend bit get your reservation in months ahead of time spaces run out.

The camping spot I was on was excellent. The only issue was the low voltage on my site. Apparently I was at the end of the electrical line hookup so other camping spots ahead of my camping spot got the higher voltage. We had a bad wind storm a few days before my scheduled departure. I was quite impressed with the Corp of Engineers crew that came with equipment to clean up the debris from the storm.

Loved this place! Brought the grandkids. The beach was great except you have to bring your own shade - and no toilet on site, you have to drive to one. The showers are VERY nice and they actually had an on sight laundry. LOVE the fire grills in the campsites. Plan to rent a houseboat next time because our 1993 pop up camper finally broke.

usually we have a good experience there, but this time no. got there to see if our site was ready. the people was still there until almost noon. no host until noon. which i think is wrong . there should be and onsite host all the time. so when the host got there. she said they were having car trouble. some one else had moved out so we got there spot. otherwise we would have had to go home , and hour drive. they need to change check out times from 5 to about 12. we had plans to kayak all day. the 5 check out messes peoples plans for the day. needs to like a motel checkout at 12.

From Shelbyville, Illinois, go three miles east of Shelbyville on State Route 16 to County Road 2200E. Turn left and go two miles to County Road 1500N. Turn left again and drive 1.4 miles to the campground.
Lithia Springs is accessible via State Route 16, approximately three miles west of Shelbyville, Illinois.

General
- Attention – Customers who do not arrive at the campground by 4 p.m. on the day after scheduled arrival date will be No Showed. Please Review the R1S No Show policy for complete details.
- Must check-in at fee booth during normal operation hours.
- Must have a reservation prior to setting up on site.
- No alcohol permitted in beach area.
- One RV and three tents, or four tents per site
- Two RVs and six tents, or eight tents per double site
- Tent camping is always permitted, but not recommended for some sites
- The banks are steep and it may be difficult to get to the water from many sites
- No outside firewood allowed; obtain or purchase firewood at or near your camping destination and burn it on-site; firewood can carry invasive insects and diseases that destroy forests; learn more
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
