What Guests Are Saying
Thomson Causeway is praised for its beautiful riverside camping, clean facilities, and friendly staff, making it a favorite among visitors. Campers appreciate the spacious concrete pads, proximity to nature, and stunning sunsets over the Mississippi River. While some concerns were raised about noise from barking dogs and a less-than-friendly host, the overall experience is highly positive, with many planning to return.

Great place to stay very quiet! The bathrooms are very clean. Only issue I have is that check- out is at 4:00pm. I watched two people have to rush to get out of a spot because people showed up two hours early even though check in isn’t till 4pm! Something needs to be done about that.

Our site was quiet and close to the water. There are miles of bike trails, and we covered about sixty miles over three days.

Make sure you catch the sunset over the river always beautiful but make sure you bring some bug spray for your ankles, we got bit up pretty bad. Our lot was very level with a nice fire pit and picnic table. The person at the gate was very helpful and had the National Park Pass available on site.

Beautiful area with excellent sites. We rode our bikes throughout the park and even rode a bike trail at the entrance. We will definitely stay here again
