This was the 5th consecutive year we have stayed here. We love this campground. This was the first year our great grandchildren were able to stay with us. They loved camping next to the lake & going over to the beach. For best choice of campsites remember to reserve early.

Had a pullthru one night as a stop over .camp ground almost empty on a wensday nite. Clean and quite on and off interstate quickly. Use the every 2months Memphis to Chicago run. Just don’t like weekend policy of 2 nights minimum. But at the he price it’s great.

Beautiful campground with nice shade, full hookup and lots of wildlife that could be seen in mornings and evenings from campsite. The areas public areas were clean and well maintained.

Nice campsite with slightly larger sites to make it not too crowded. We went during the week when it was more peaceful.

We love the campgrounds at Rend Lake. Gun Creek is one of our favorites. We stay two weeks every month for the season. Our only complaint ever, is that the grass is usually tall and needs cut. There can also be a lack of parking. Rend Lake is a huge asset for Southern Illinois.
