I enjoyed staying at Dunewood Campground. Reservation process was straightforward but confirmation did not include check in/out hours. You also need to make reservations well in advance, especially if you're planning on staying on the weekend. I booked before the season started. The campground comes with hot showers and a place to wash dishes which is really nice. Camping spots are nice too. There are lots of trees. Make sure you bring insect repellant. Otherwise, mosquitos will eat you alive. Beware that some camping spots can only be accessed by a short walk from a parking lot which might be more private but inconvenient.

The campground was very clean and peaceful, even though it was full; the bathroom and wash facilities were excellent! We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!

The Mather Loop is spacious and woodsy. No problems with camping. People in the park were respectful of guidelines. There is road noise because of proximity to paved roads and people who enjoy loud cars.

Lovely campground with well-spaced sites and clean bath house. Near (but not inside) Indiana Dunes National Park.

Nice and quiet campground. My only complaint is that a few of the park employees tell you not to park on the grass at all, but the drive for the site is not long enough for the rv and your vehicle.

nice sized shaded lots. Bathrooms were clean.
Lots of road and train noise. It’s hard to get to the lake (heavy traffic).

Beautiful setting, nice staff, clean restrooms, very nice walk in sites. All would have been quite wonderful if it wasn't for the very loud train and its horn we heard throughout the night. I am not sure if it is a nightly thing but it made for a bad night's sleep!
