Sites are very open so don't expect a lot of privacy. The paths to the bathroom were clearly marked and easy to use. The sites were level and provided solid support for the vehicle.

Campground staff were friendly and helpful. Ranger and volunteer led hike to the top of Mt. Baldy was incredible!

Beautiful and secluded campgrounds. But of a drive off the highway, but that just means you only hear sounds from other campers, not the highway. Great place to kayak or float.

The park staff were very nice and helpful, and very clear about the campground rules upon check-in. I prefer a campground where people are not blaring stereos all day and night, and they want to ensure a quiet, positive experience for all, which it was. Campsites are large and spread out. Overall, the physical setup of the campground was nice. Only complaint is the showers only had ice cold water!!! With how spread out and urban Indiana Dunes NP is, the campground was fairly centrally located, about a mile from the nearest beach and some trails, and despite how urban the area is, getting back into the campground gave a more rustic feel.

Nice quiet campground. Loved the dishwashing sink. Showers could’ve been a little nicer.

While the campground location was great for accessing the park it had a few issues. 1. It was right near the train tracks so if you’re sleeping in a tent, you hear that all night long and all through the day. The trains do sound their horn whether it’s night or day too.
2. The bathrooms were not clean, especially in the shower area. That was disgusting.
3. And lastly, may not matter, but if you need to stake a tent, the pads were so hard that it made driving the mistakes in difficult.
Pros
1. Great location for Park activities.
2. The host were really nice.
3. The campsite were clean and for the most part other than the trains, the campground was pretty quiet and well shaded.
