What Guests Are Saying
Tipsaw Lake offers a peaceful and relaxing camping experience with well-maintained facilities, clean bathrooms, and friendly hosts who ensure a pleasant stay. Visitors appreciate the spacious, wooded sites and beautiful hiking trails, making it a great destination for nature lovers. Although there are some issues with hot water in showers and the absence of a dump station, the overall atmosphere and cleanliness of the campground make it a hidden gem for camping enthusiasts.

Our challenge at Tipsaw was the lack of cell, TV and even regular radio reception. We understand camping is NOT glamping, but it was really boring, especially when social distancing. We moved to another camp ground after a couple days so we could get some kind of communication from the real world.

First time staying at a National Park. It was off season and the park was rather empty--which is the way we like it--so I recommend camping at that time. It was quiet and very peaceful. Would like to return again in the future. Beautiful area and very modern shower facilities. Sites are a bit smaller than some at a state park. Check out the national park just north of Tipsaw--Indian Lake--has a nice historic home and cemetery on site near the lake. AT&T coverage is nil if you want to access the Internet you will need more than just a phone. Phone calls dropped.

I've camped here many times over the years. 2019 I bought a new RV that uses 50 amp electrical power. Two sites I used this year at tipsaw that were supposed to be 50amp were not working. Good thing I had a 50 to 30 amp adapter. The cg hosts were unable to get anyone out to troubleshoot the system, so I believe there is bigger issues with the 50 amp sites. Two trips were months apart, camp sites in different loops, no working 50 amp pedestals. Otherwise, a good camping experience for the family.
