LOVED our time at Hardin Ridge! It was mid-week, after Labor Day and we were the ONLY campers on our spur so it was delightfully quiet. (I think it might have been less pleasant for us had we come when they were booked solid the week before...but I'm a bit of a misanthrope, LOL). Our site was in perfect shape, and the pit toilet was impeccably clean. Showers at the shower house were "meh"...one had a faulty nozzle but since the campground was not crowded it was easy to switch to a different shower which was better (though a tad chilly). Cell signal was non-existent in some places, but decent at our site. I look forward to coming back again someday!

Great campground! So much to offer. Hosts are kind and helpful! Bathrooms were clean. Certain sites are really private. Will be back many times!

52 is definitely one of the best spots on SPT. Lots of room, pretty level, good trees for a hammock, and private. A bit of a walk to the facilities, but so what? It's a nice walk. Speaking of which, the facilities are neat and clean, the camp hosts are great, and there's just a nice sense of fun and relaxation at Hardin Ridge.

Hardin Ridge is a quiet campground with plenty of space between the sites.

A beautiful, heavily treed campground. Clean and quiet (although there was absolutely no one else around when we were there.) The tent sites had some serious issues which spoiled it for me though. The entire site is covered in limestone, so trying to set up your tent on a bed of sharp, pointy rocks is just as much fun as it sounds. It's nearly impossible to pound tent stakes in, and when you do get set up, it's hardly comfortable to have such a hard and rough surface under the tent. Then, when it rained, the water rushed over top of all the rocks, completely soaking my tent from the bottom up. The fire pit was buried so deeply into the ground that there was no draft to keep the fire going, and the rain immediately filled the fire pit into a foot-deep pond that had nowhere to drain.
All in all, it was a disappointing campground because it has the potential to be really nice, but whoever designed the tent sites should be forced to camp there as punishment.

Park was very nice, quiet, peaceful, and the sites were huge. The only thing we didn’t like was that the shower house had lights burnt out inside the bathroom and the showers were pretty dirty, full of bugs, and they smelled like they never get cleaned. We are used to the state park showers that usually smell like bleach. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would probably come back again.
