Park was very nice, quiet, peaceful, and the sites were huge. The only thing we didn’t like was that the shower house had lights burnt out inside the bathroom and the showers were pretty dirty, full of bugs, and they smelled like they never get cleaned. We are used to the state park showers that usually smell like bleach. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would probably come back again.

Our stay was wonderful as always, but you need to know if the site says FF, you still need a reservation for that spot, even though the site will not let you book a FF site on line.

Very peaceful! Signage was not the best-reservations said Woak but sign said white oak which was a bit deceiving & with a 42’ towing rv , don’t need to pass up loop. Swimming area was nice but water muddy sites were very large but gravel & no sewer. Park host from another loop was very informative since it host had surgery. Hiking trails were great for families.

Upon arrival, I found that my prepaid reservation for a full hook up site had been canceled and given to another camper. Since it was July 4, getting another place to stay was impossible. They put me in a terrible, unlevel, primitive site and charged me the full price for both sites.

Large and wooded sites make this campground one of our favorites.

Overall the facility is well maintained and very wooded. Sites are large and spaced well away from each other. Site #165 in the Pine loop was not very level - it took all our blocks to get level.

We had a wonderful time. The campsites are not on top of each other. The facilities were okay. We had deer walking up to the campsite. Put your food away at night and trash due to Raccoons. That's to be expected. We had a Great time and will be back to camp soon!

Hardin Ridge puts state park campgrounds to shame. Support Southern Point Loop, which is non-electric, but don't go there early in the week when I go there for the peace and quiet. Don't bring your loud music. Just be in a place where it's you and the woods. If you must drive a bus to camp, there are several other loops with full electric that are very attractive, well-wooded, with good facilities, as well.
