River Oaks RV Park

We absolutely loved staying at Derek and Tina’s A-frame. From the moment we arrived, we felt comfortable and at home—even traveling with our toddlers. The space had everything we needed and more. It’s truly a beautiful place, and you can tell how much care goes into keeping it clean and well-maintained. We made such special memories here and will definitely be making our way back again. Highly recommend!

Hands down one of my favorite stays! The sites are super comfortable and roomy. Tina and Eric were helpful and very nice! The seasonal and permanent residents that are there make you feel right at home! Shout out to Susie, Matt, Wendy, Bill, Reilly & Zach for a great happy hour! 😎 The only thing that wasn’t perfect is the road to get there but slow and steady and all is good. Also there is no camp store but they do provide firewood and ice. Thanks River Oaks! Hope to see you again when coming through.

This was a lovely place! Manicured grounds. Level sites. Full hookup. Excellent bath house. Even tho we we were full hook up my hubby isn't found of the 30 sec hot water in the RV. He's a bath house user wherever we go. For use the location was a little out of the way because we were in Des Moines for a wedding weekend, but that's not a bad thing perse. The camp was spaced out nicely. So much good about River Oaks RV Park.

Beautiful secluded area. Hosts were very nice. Great for riding bikes and paddle boarding Curious or directions coming in. GPS gave us a C class road that was rough. Thank gos it was dry. Call campground first for accurate directions

This was a fantastic campground. The campground spots were very big and spacious. One thing I love, the grass was so green and comfortable. If it wasn't for the location, 3 miles on a gravel road, this would be the best campground I have every stayed at. But, it can be a blessing as well - because then you are away from everyone.
