West Overlook Campground

Pleasant and quiet overnight stay

Great location. Some electrical outlets (at W84 and W83 need replacing.

Beautiful, well kept landscape. Spacious, flat, grassy sites with table and fire ring. Clean individual, shower bathroom facilities, including 2 handicap accessible. Lake access for fishing, beach for swimming. Wonderful park!

Sites were very close. A loud and fowl mouthed neighbor sent us in the camper to early on a great night.

Great views and clean facilities.

Overall, a good experience. Friendly hosts and very quiet in the evening. If you enjoy a dark sky in the evening don't stay in the sites near the shower building. The numerous lights on the outside of the shower building are extremely bright.

This is our favorite campground in the area. Beautiful views of the lake, very clean campsites and shower facilities

This was our 5th time at West Overlook campgrounds of Coralville Lake. We had warmer than usual September weather. This allowed for stary moon light nights over this beautiful area. Campgrounds were full as they should be for this time of year!

Only wish that there were more Full hook ups

Beautiful campground next to a man made lake. Problem was that we booked a site (WO4) that claimed the driveway was 50' long when it clearly wasn't. When the driveway is at less than a 90 degree angle then one side of the drive is longer than the other. Maybe they were measuring the longer side but it still didn't look nearly to be 50'. Another site was hemmed in by trees making it impossible to maneuver a RV into. Of course you won't learn any of this until you arrive.

Luckily, there were other sites available that we were able to fit into. Do be aware that there is only one dump sites (can fit 2 rigs at once) for the entire area. Hate to be waiting in line at the end of a holiday weekend.
