Very nice, spacious and quiet location next to Coralville lake. Well maintained site. My only "wish" is for a sewer hookup but the dump station was very convenient with two setups so not really a big deal. We didn't get to take advantage of the lake but could see being very nice on a hot day. We've been very impressed with sites governed by Recreation.gov, especially when compared to most commercial campgrounds.

The staff was very helpful and always friendly. The only issues we had were the bathrooms didn't get cleaned all week and they ran out of firewood. We have stayed here several times in the past and this is the first time this had happened.

This campground was a great place to stay at for our family on Mother’s Day weekend. Wood was available to purchase, the bathrooms were stocked with toilet paper and taken care of, the staff was very friendly, and there was a lot to do. We will definitely be staying there again!

From Interstate 80 (Iowa City, IA) take Exit 244 towards Dubuque St./North Liberty. Travel north on Dubuque St. for 3 miles and turn right onto West Overlook Rd. NE. Travel on West Overlook Rd. NE for 1.1 miles. At the stop sign take a slight left turn. The entrance to the West Overlook Campground will be located straight ahead.
From Interstate 380 (North Liberty, IA) take Exit 4 towards North Liberty. Travel east on W. Penn St. for 2 miles and turn right onto N Dubuque St. Travel south on N Dubuque St. for 1.9 miles, at the traffic circle, continue straight onto Dubuque St NE. Continue traveling south on Dubuque St. NE for 1.8 miles. Turn left onto West Overlook Rd. NE and travel east for 1.1 miles. At the stop sign take a slight left turn. The entrance to the West Overlook Campground will be located straight ahead.
