Howell Station is a highly praised campground known for its spacious, clean sites and beautiful natural surroundings, making it a favorite for families. Campers enjoy the quiet atmosphere, friendly staff, and numerous recreational opportunities, including biking and wildlife watching. Some minor improvements are suggested, like better Wi-Fi and complete hookups, but overall, visitors have had great experiences and plan to return.

Spots did have alot of ant hills. Had a few in camper. Also there is alot of woodpeckers. They are damaging branches that hang over the spots. Thats little scary of a limb falling. We love it there and will continue to bad water wasnt higher.

We go every year for the Iowa vs Iowa State game and a couple of our friends have birthdays to celebrate too. We all love Howell Station it's quiet, roomy camping spots, nice biking trails and close to Pella for a little shopping.

Beautiful campground. Large sites. Many trees. Right by the river and on the bike trail. We will camp here again.

We simply love camping at Howell Station. The sites are large and the views are wonderful. Bike trails make it an added plus. Love having Pella close to shop and go to the bakery, meat market, etc. This time we ventured to Knoxville to visit the race track museum. It's a shame we haven't had more rain for fishing and those types of activities. The campground is always clean and the hosts are pleasant.

We love Howell Station. The restrooms are impressively clean and the crew takes great care of the grounds, sites, fire rings. Thanks for the care they show.

Camp grounds are kept up beautifully! Black topped paths and bike / walking bride over the river are kept free of leaves and debris. We enjoyed the bike/walking trails and went over 9 miles on them. A lot of the trials are shaded which was nice the days we stayed as it was very hot. Would be nice to get sewer and water hook ups but can't have everything. We stayed in 110 along the river. Not as much shade there as I'd like but that was my fault for not checking it ahead of time. Most camp sites do have shade. Excellent place to camp and enjoy your grandkids!
