What Guests Are Saying
Sandy Beach Campground is a well-maintained, clean, and quiet facility with spacious campsites, friendly staff, and immaculate bathrooms. Many visitors appreciate the beautiful views and the peaceful atmosphere, especially during weekdays. However, some noted the lack of a sandy beach for swimming and occasional noise from nearby live music on weekends, along with minor maintenance issues that could be addressed. Overall, guests recommend the campground for its value and pleasant experience.

Visited Amanana Colonies and had great pizza at Big Grive Brewery in Solon.
Relatively close to trails by lake, Osprey & Woodpecker trail. Enjoyed visit to Devonian Gorge.

It was a beautiful site, well-kept park. Quiet, about 1/3 full during the week. Easy to get to, and overall just a great time.

Great campground. Could use better cell service as signals are weak all over the grounds. sure would be nice if there were more than one location for garbage disposal. There used to be cans located throughout the grounds, but now there is only one dumpster near the entrance station. Kind of a long haul for those who have to walk it up, and more chance of animals getting into bags left outside

On a Monday evening, Sandy Beach Camp was quiet and peaceful with expansive, well manicured, green lawns. We didn't stay long to explore the area, but it was a quick walk to the reservoir, and Sandy Beach Camp made for a great overnight stop on our cross country trip home.

Very clean, great place to camp, although the camp hostess couple were not the friendliest from the start, with just a simple question we had because it was our first time there. For that reason, I would probably go to Sugar Bottom in the future.

We enjoyed the views, beach and watching boats come in and out of the ramp. However, it lacked hiking trails.

Sandy Beach and the campground are not well kept. The bug problem is horrible, compared to other campgrounds. Also, the beach is absolutely disgusting and muddy and gross. We will not be back.
