What Guests Are Saying
Sandy Beach Campground is a well-maintained, clean, and quiet facility with spacious campsites, friendly staff, and immaculate bathrooms. Many visitors appreciate the beautiful views and the peaceful atmosphere, especially during weekdays. However, some noted the lack of a sandy beach for swimming and occasional noise from nearby live music on weekends, along with minor maintenance issues that could be addressed. Overall, guests recommend the campground for its value and pleasant experience.

Stayed in 2 sites over a 9 day period. Campground and facilities are top rate. Host not very friendly but that’s ok. I was informed that ATV’s weren’t allowed in the campground so I left mine in the trailer even tho I observed 2 other side by sides on the campground road. Further, I see nothing in the campground rules restricting them. To make this rule more frustrating is the fact that there’s an ATV Riding Park just down the road a bit. Summary, I won’t stay in this campground again if I can avoid it.

Friendly people! Clean grounds. Would be nice to have more options for trash instead of one dumpster near the exit. That's a long walk from the lower loop.

We stayed at Sandy Beach the first time a couple weekends ago. We stayed in spot 21 which is right next to a bath and shower house and a playground. This made for a busy site but honestly it was spacious and the campgrounds were clean, well cared for and all around beautiful. There is wood for sale on site and a gas station not far for ice. Campers were very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back!

Well kept, clean campground. Our only issue was the water had A Lot of chlorine. Located off the main roads, but still close to several destinations. Sites had a nice mix of sun and shade, as well as close to the water. Grandkids enjoyed the playground.

We had a great time. Beautiful campground. Only complaint, a lady and her daughter would bring their very aggressive dog everyday and let him walk without a leash. She was not camping and her dog was not friendly. Should not allow them in the campground when people paying have to leash theirs.

The only unfortunate part of this camping spot is that we had a large group in the spaces behind us with many children. They were constantly walking directly through our campsite to use the bathroom. Not very considerate. We moved the picnic table to cut down on part of the route they were taking. I hope we have more courteous neighbors next time if we are to stay in that spot again.

Great spot! Near the entrance, so you don't have to go too far, also near the clean water and firewood. Great spot next to the wooded area and not crowded at all. Spots are far apart from each other.
