What Guests Are Saying
Mound Valley offers clean and well-maintained campsites with beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere, making it a popular destination for campers. Visitors appreciate the friendly camp hosts and the excellent swimming beach, as well as the spacious, shaded sites. While some facilities, like the bathrooms and shower houses, could use improvements, many guests have enjoyed their overall experience and plan to return.

Love this campground. It is so beautiful. The sites are spaced out and lots of trees. There isn’t a bad site in Mound Valley!!

Lousy weather but overall good. I only stayed one night. Because I was there on a Sunday, the campground was peaceful and quiet.

We loved our campsite in the N Loop as it was tucked out of the wind and had fun fishing, even with the rain! The loop was slow and easy going on the traffic in April which makes it family friendly and safe!

No host or Maps available, the bath house was dreary and cold, paint peeling, I decided not to use it. My sites water was 60 ft away, and not level at all.

We love going to Big Hill Lake and we always stay at Mound Valley. I wish the Corp of Engineers would invest more money to bring the camp site pads up to snuff. Many of them are in poor shape. This is a beautiful place to camp. Just needs a little more TLC. I also wish more of the camp sites close to the lake had water.
