We always enjoy going to Big Hill Lake. We enjoyed kayaking and taking walks through the wooded camp grounds. We met some very nice people along the way. Our only disappointment was I never saw a camp ranger and only saw the camp host one time.

We booked on short notice. Got the site we wanted and enjoyed every minute. Great trail on west side of lake. Kayaking was great as always. Very quiet. Clean bathrooms. Always a great stay.

We had a wonderful trip, anyone we spoke with was kind and helpful. We stayed at campsite 89, which is full hook up. We have stayed at that site before and loved it. This time was much the same except for a significant bee problem. For the first few days, we lived peaceably with them by maintaining a clean site, etc. After a few days however, they became more aggressive and it was a struggle to coexist peacefully with them.

This is our favorite place to camp. We are under a canopy of trees and we have lots of space at our site. I also like the privacy of the sites we chose.

There is plenty of places to go hiking. The bathrooms are kept very clean and there is a nice beach for swimming

From Cherryvale, Kansas, take U.S. Highway 169 and turn east onto Main Street. Continue through the town and turn right onto Olive Street. Go 1/2 a block and turn left onto County Route 5000. Proceed 4.5 miles to Big Hill Lake and follow signs to Mound Valley.
