Mound Valley offers clean and well-maintained campsites with beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere, making it a popular destination for campers. Visitors appreciate the friendly camp hosts and the excellent swimming beach, as well as the spacious, shaded sites. While some facilities, like the bathrooms and shower houses, could use improvements, many guests have enjoyed their overall experience and plan to return.

Nice shaded campsites. No poison ivy seen even with all the vegetation around the edge of the cleared area. Lots of poison ivy on the Ruth Nixon nature trail. The beach trail and beach were closed due to blue green algae... wish we knew this when we made reservations! Don't see anywhere on the website for reservations or for Big Hill Lake that this is an ongoing issue this summer.

The site we were in has a serious water issue when it rains, all the water from sites across the street runs through this site. Roads are starting to fall apart on the edges. Corp really needs to put some work into campsites, all the revenue coming in this lake is from camper's please start putting it back into campsites.

We really enjoy how well kept, and quiet the camp ground is. Going during the week May have something to do with that😁😁

We’ve been camping/fishing at Big Hill lake for many years and we love it.
However, a few things are in need of attention. Some of the public use water hydrants in the North Loop do not work which makes it difficult for filling tanks. Next, a lot of the markers for the lane on the lake are missing, making it dangerous for those who aren’t familiar with it.
It’s a beautiful lake, hoping the Corp will invest in some upkeep and repairs.

It's always a very good experience at Mound Valley. The camp sites are always clean and the shower house is always nice to have when you have multiple campers with you. The shower house was very clean as well.
It was a good Father's day weekend.

Campers across the road were load, obnoxious, foul mouthed with music playing until after 3AM both Friday and Saturday night. Seven tents and approximately 12+ people in two sites as well as all of the many cars parked on the road. In all of my many years of camping, I have never experienced it to this level.

Very nice campground. Shady spots. Easy access to boat ramp. Just not alot of space to park your boat in many campsites.
