What Guests Are Saying
Mound Valley offers clean and well-maintained campsites with beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere, making it a popular destination for campers. Visitors appreciate the friendly camp hosts and the excellent swimming beach, as well as the spacious, shaded sites. While some facilities, like the bathrooms and shower houses, could use improvements, many guests have enjoyed their overall experience and plan to return.

We love Big Hill but this year there was no check in or tag numbers that identified that you belong inside the campgrounds, anybycould come & go with nobody checking-felt a little unsecured. We also had to clean our area before we set up, leafs all over the place. Lake was beautiful and perfect weather.

Easy to get into and out of. The driveway was flat and the site relatively clean. Got in super late and as expected it was dark with no lights and good tree coverage. Get there early enough so you can see and setup during the day. Our second day we had the campground to ourself. Would like to come back in fall

Site 35, which I reserved, was not easy to get into with my 35 foot camper and my 8 foot truck bed.
There roadway is too narrow for rig as long as mine.

After the weather cleared we had a good time enjoying the lake and camping. One thing that is a negative, that I don’t understand, is why the trash cans around the park have been removed requiring to drive to the dump station to get rid of trash. We have camped at other federal campgrounds which still have trash can located around the park.

Such a beautiful place to camp! Our campsite looked out over the lake. It was easy to level our camper. The lower level to our campsite was charming as it featured a fire pit and picnic area. The park is so well kept. One of our favorite places to camp,

This is the best campground in the area. Camp sites are more private than most. Nice lake. Nice camp hosts.

Always have a great time at Big Hill but the Corp of engineers really need to start doing some work on the facilities they are really showing their age. Shower houses and restrooms.
