What Guests Are Saying
Mound Valley offers clean and well-maintained campsites with beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere, making it a popular destination for campers. Visitors appreciate the friendly camp hosts and the excellent swimming beach, as well as the spacious, shaded sites. While some facilities, like the bathrooms and shower houses, could use improvements, many guests have enjoyed their overall experience and plan to return.

The park was very clean and well maintained. The only problem was THE CAMPERS NEXT TO US DID NOT TIE THEIR DOGS UP.

We have a pull behind trailer camper with a slide out and camped in site 24 on the Mound Valley side. I do not recommend it at all for large campers. We could barely get our slide out all the way out. The pull through is vary narrow. Our steps were uneven. There were trees very close to the drive through so we could not open our awning. It will definitely go on my do not camp at this site list.

Doesn't seen to change anything when people leave a review!!! Big hill is one of the most beautiful lakes in ks and I don't understand why the corp of engineers chooses not to put money back into it. Very little has been done to it since it opened in the early eighties. Bathroom and shower house are terrible .

Wonderful site, close to the lake to put the kayaks in. Love the trees and underbrush between the sites.

Camp sites are awesome at Big Hill Lake. Tried a new site this trip. It had a great view of the lake. Very clean and well maintained. We had a very nice camping experience.

I love Big Hill lake. The camping spots are spaced out where you don’t feel like you are on top of each other. It’s always clean!!! We have tried other lakes and always end up back at Big Hill for the most relaxing times.

Would of liked to know the beach was closed before we drove almost 2 hours there. Still had a great time.
