Shower house/restrooms need a good cleaning, didn't appear to have been cleaned in a while. Fire pits and grills were full as well.

I love camping here at Mound Valley but the last two times the showers have been scalding hot. Too hot to take and the handicap shower is broken. Definitely needs some attention

Pros: Lots of shade, privacy, paved roads and paved campsite including paved picnic area at each site. Easy access to water, walking distance to bath house. Trash dumpster isn't too far away and trailer dump out is right on the way out. This place is beautiful!!
Cons: only one but it was big. This place is overcome with gnats. Not just a few but so many that you cannot hang outside without covering your mouth, eyes and nose. It was awful! We asked the camp host if they had someone to come spray. He said he would look into it. Acted like it was news to him. The next morning we went to the shower house and met the lady who has the job of sweeping up the dead gnats every morning from the shower stalls. Obviously a known issue. She had piles of them. Enough to fill 3 or 4 dustpan. Every morning! We spent over $60 at the Dollar General on foggers and sprays and got very little relief. Luckily the next day was a little breezier so we could tolerate the gnats a little better. We still have gnat bodies covering the screens in our RV and the dash in our truck.
