We loved the town of Council Grove…good restaurants, museums, etc. Cottonwood Falls and Tallgrass Prairie Preserve were also great places to visit. Richey Cove #35 is a good campsite, close to showers, bathroom and beach. The beach was dirty due to the geese coming and going. Hard to improve that one, but my grandchildren were disappointed that their dad wouldn’t let them play in the lake. The bathrooms could be cleaner. The shower heads are strange in that they spray way out almost to the opposite wall which is quite a ways away. But all in all we had a great time and would camp there again.

We enjoyed our first time here. Water access for our water bubble. Nearly every site has lakefront view or at least close access. The covered picnic tables are great quality.
We loved the view, and no vehicle fees was a super plus! We think we found our new spot!
We will definitely be back though.

Site view was very pretty . Shelter house was a littler dangerous someone had dumped rocks along the edge of the concrete base of shelter and there was a huge divet left behind .
Not very good for fishing I lost a lot of hooks to the rocks .
We did have a great peaceful time though .
