We had a big family gathering with some family coming from out of state. We had a wonderful time. The campsites are nice, and well kept. The only complaint anyone had was that there is not a shower house available at the campground. They've done nice work there, they just need to add a shower house.

Nicely spaced campsites with large grassy area behind campsite. Park was clean and quiet. No showers and only a pit toilet. Was unable to use dump station, since drain pipe sticks above ground level and was too high for tanks to drain properly. We used the state park dump station which was nearby. Great fishing at the spillway for channel catfish. We had a great time and will be back. Independence is close by for shopping and restaurants.

Loved the large camp sites. The park is clean and well maintained. The road surface stirred up a lot of dust from wind and vehicles driving though. Otherwise, great place.
