Had 2 sites reserved. Was told after we got there we couldnβt have 2 site without a tent on each site. Couldnβt cancel myself because it was the day we were there. Only used one site and never got refunded for a site we couldnβt use. And we were the only campers on loop B the whole time we were there.
The whole loop B needed to be mowed. Was not fun sitting by the water fishing when the grass was over your ankles.

It would help if the camp sites were more level and had more rock base to them.

Everything was great but a suggestion, if you wait to mow when the grass is really tall you might bag it or at least go over it again. It was kind of annoying when playing games. Other than that we had a great time & will be back.

Been camping at Farnum for 14 years now. My favorite campground.
Just needs some updating.
Fish hatchery is a neat place to visit.
Abilene not far, cool town. Eisehour museum is there.

With removal of fish cleaning station - we will find another camp ground. Also, dead tree removal seems to be a never ending problem.

We enjoyed our stay at Farnum Creek. The only exception was the weather which you have no control over.

Easy to go on line to reserve a site, after we arrived. Nice 3 night get away. Shower house walls were dirty but other than that the restrooms were much cleaner. Site was a nice size for our 25 foot toyhauler. Easy to level. The summer ranger came by to clean out the fire pit which was 3/4 full of ash. We did not have a picnic table on site, but the same summer ranger pulled one over on our site. Nice young man!
