Stockdale Park offers a clean, quiet, and safe camping experience with beautiful lake views and friendly camphosts. While sites are close together and the bathhouse is a bit inconvenient, the peaceful atmosphere and well-maintained grounds make it a favorite for visitors seeking a serene getaway. Very quiet, clean safe area to camp. Our first time in Kansas not really a user of reservation but very helpful neighbor helped us register overall good experience.

Stockdale park is our favorite. Not a party place, no blasting music, just small campgrounds for those looking to get away.

This is a hidden gem with a few flaws. Camphosts we're friendly and sites are level and well cared for, but they're close together with no privacy. Most have a good view of the lake and it was very peaceful. The bathhouse is up a steep hill with a pushbutton shower with cold water. The good outweighs the bad and we'd go back.

Stayed here 10 days. Weekends had full house of people staying at campground. During the week was real quiet. Best water we have had at a campground all year, and that's saying a lot since we do this for aliving. Beautiful view of lake, water fowl were incredible. 3 different species of pelicans, ducks geese, and turkey (they were drinking) . Greatest COE yet! Camp Hosts were great.

(Site 2) Nice area close to the water with an easy trek to the shoreline. Bathroom facilities (upgraded porta-potty) next door - but no showers. This site is away from the others, with a little more privacy, but in exchange there is no shade. Dump station is up the hill and easily accessible.

We had to camp at Stockdale because our original reservation at Turtle Creek was cancelled due to construction. But we had a lovely time at Stockdale in site #1. Hosts came down and told us about showers at the top of the hill. We walked a mile or so down the county dirt road and judged it sound enough to leave by. Lots of wildlife. Then walked along the shoreline the opposite direction at dusk. A little out of the way but we're seniors so it was definitely worth $12 discounted rate.

Loose dogs everywhere. On multiple days I had loose dogs rush at me and my Service Dog. It’s not an ADA friendly park. There is also a local that brings their dog to run loose in the park everyday. I spent a couple weeks and every day I had loose dogs come to my camper and disturb and disrupt my Service Dog. They really need to start enforcing the leash rule. I’m
