What Guests Are Saying
Stockdale Park offers a clean, quiet, and safe camping experience with beautiful lake views and friendly camphosts. While sites are close together and the bathhouse is a bit inconvenient, the peaceful atmosphere and well-maintained grounds make it a favorite for visitors seeking a serene getaway. Overall, the positives outweigh the negatives, making it a hidden gem worth returning to.

This lovely out of the way campground was very nice! Wide gravel sites that are very level, water access at the campsite and nice views of the lake at every site. The camp hosts were fun and gracious and came around to meet us one evening. The park ranger was a blessing when she stopped as well. I inquired about a dump station and she told us about the shower house and dump station above the campground. We love Corps of Engineers campgrounds and this was one of the nicest. Manhattan, KS is about 20 miles south and easily accessible for any supplies needed. This college town is fast changing and becoming bigger by the year, which in my opinion reduces the quaintness of the town. 50 + years ago, as a college coed, I found Manhattan to be charming and friendly. Now it's not so charming! Still friendly, as are most areas of Kansas, but it has lost some of its charm!
