What Guests Are Saying
Tuttle Creek Cove offers a beautiful campground with stunning lake views, clean facilities, and friendly staff, making for an enjoyable stay. Many campers appreciated the spacious, well-maintained sites, and the peaceful atmosphere, ideal for relaxation and outdoor activities. However, some sites have access and leveling issues, and cell reception can be poor, but overall, visitors found it a great location close to Manhattan with plenty of natural beauty.

Nice and quiet with a view of the lake. Nice space between campsites the showers a bit far if you don’t have a vehicle to drive there and have to walk my only real complaint is the ground is not level and it takes quite a bit of work to level things out but I love this place and this is where I go back repeatedly. If you forgot something there is only about eight minutes away. It’s close to Manhattan if you do have a vehicle to go places. They have picnic tables and fire pits. Only one site has shade.

This is a very well maintained campground with very clean and spacious campsites. The only knock on it at all is there is not much shade, but in the fall that's not that big of a deal. We have used Tuttle Cove as our home away from home on game weekends and it's great! I've seen some reviews complaining about the hills. Aside from being a minor annoyance, it was not that big of a deal at all with our 27ft trailer. The hills might also make it more difficult to use the shower house, but we just showered in our camper. Playground is in good shape with rubber mulch. Great views of the lake! It's secluded but super convenient to Manhattan. And, if you forgot anything, Dara's (about a 8 min drive) has anything you might need!

We have stayed at Tuttle Cove twice in July. On our first stay, we were met by a camp host at the entry hut. He never asked for my senior card, our reservations, nor did he look at the computer to see if we had reservations. After that, our stay was two nights, we did not see a camp host. On our second visit, July 27 thru August 2, we never encountered a camp host, it appeared only one was present as the second camp host RV was gone, and it appeared that the remaining camp host was gone at least 2 days. Although we were absent from the campground during the day as we were moving our daughter into a new apartment, we did not see the camp host drive by nor were there any reservation cards on the posts, our site did not even have a post, and, needless to say, we were never given a mirror card for our vehicle. What has happened to camp hosts greeting campers, checking their reservations or helping them find a site, giving them instructions to their site along with a trash bag, having reservation tags on posts at the site, and issuing mirror cards to each vehicle? This is a beautiful campground that we have stayed in many times over the years. We have recommended it to others but now hesitate to do so after our last two experiences. On the plus side, my wife and daughter used the showers and both spoke highly of the cleanliness of them, which tells me someone had to be cleaning them. Can we just return to the days, not long ago, when camp hosts did their job, patrolled the campground periodically, and visited with the campers? PLEASE HELP!

I was not able to visit prior to our stay and chose the spot because of the proximity to the water/shore. When we arrived, it turned out to be a cliff above the water. More photos or descriptions of the surrounding areas would be really helpful in determining the best location for us.

Campsites were large, clean, beautiful view of the lake, and well landscaped. Pads were level with easy access - plenty of room to back in. Only drawbacks - no sewer hookups at each site & Toilets are outhouse type without water.
Otherwise, one of the best campsites we’ve stayed at.

This was a fantastic and clean campsite. The playground was clean and our kids loved it. Make sure you have enough blocks for the incline. We will be returning!
