Camp sites were very clean, bathrooms were exceptionally nice and well maintained. Great stay. I would have given 5 stars but the bathroom and showers had no hot water.

We have camped at Marion Reservoir for many years, however, due to the weather, we were not able to enjoy the grounds like in past years. We did recognize some campers from last year and enjoyed getting re-acquainted. Campers, as a whole are very courteous and friendly which makes camping there more enjoyable.

Miss the camp hosts and the gate attendants. Feel like campground security goes down without them.

It was wonderful to be back on Cottonwood Point. Thank-you! Thank you also for burning, which hasn't been done in years.
Not having a camp host or local contact number was frustrating. When people were breaking the rules by camping on the nature trail there was no one to contact. Once we did spot a ranger in the distance, but we were never checked in. The beaver continues to destroy trees. Granted they are a part of nature but when humans and wildlife cohabitate, wildlife management becomes crucial. The trees provide benefits to aquatic, avian, and human life.
We are optimistic that the new reservoir manager will continue to make positive changes.

As always, we had a good time. The weather was not too good but that is Kansas. I'm concerned about the new way that reservations are made. The old way was working fine. I'm concerned that there will be no one monitoring the park. We camp a lot at Marion but this puts a damper on things, not only at Marion but all if the other parks. We will continue to camp but are very disappointed on what is going on with security and the reservation procedure that has been instituted. If something was working, why fix it.
