Cottonwood Point is praised for its beautiful, clean campsites and scenic views by the lake, making it a great spot for water sports and relaxation. Many visitors appreciate the spacious sites, well-maintained facilities, and friendly atmosphere, with some returning frequently for the calming experience. However, concerns about infrequent mowing, maintenance issues, and limited restroom access have been noted, suggesting areas for improvement.

This is a fantastic facility. It was even better this visit because work has continued on the flood damaged areas of the park. Many more campsites were open and the repairs were well done.

I camped at Cottonwood Point while bicycle touring. I had difficulty finding my campsite (a map would be helpful). As the park was 98% vacant, I picked a spot randomly. The location was beautiful. Unfortunately, the bathrooms were locked.

Camp site, fire pit and grill full of ashes and trash. Many street lights out. Restroom/shower dirty and heat blasting on high. Empty campsite next door had a fire in the fire pit when we arrived.
