We really enjoyed camping in Hillsboro Cove in October during the week! We were right on the water and had lots of shade. There were bathrooms close by. We were about the only ones in the whole campground. It was great!

The ladies bathroom light doesn’t not work, during the day it’s not an issue but at night the lights don’t come on. It’s been like this for months. It makes it difficult to take our daughter to the bathroom when it’s completely dark.

Spent Monday-Friday at Hillsboro Cove. Very quiet. My favorite time to camp there.
Site was nice and restrooms were very clean. (Except for a few bugs)
Will definitely be back.

sites were good, but lack of volunteers has shown. Each canopy over the picnic tables needed a good power washing for wasp nests and spiders. We didn't have a problem with either of those. The bathrooms also needed the bugs and spiders washed out of them. No other complaints.

When we visited there were only four RVs in the park. Quiet, beautiful views and clean. As someone traveling through what more would you want.

We enjoy staying at Hillsboro Cove. But with this particular stay, I experienced something that really bothered me. I had made reservations online 5 days prior to our arrival. When I arrived, I was surprised to see someone else already setup in the campsite I had reserved. Rather than be confrontational, I decided to go ahead and setup in the site next to our original site. The gentleman in our site had taken it upon himself just to pick a site and setup. It turns out that he went to pay at the camp host and was told his site was reserved by someone else. He came back and told me about it and this is when I told him we were supposed to have that site. By this time, I had already setup our trailer. If there had been someone at the gate, checking in campers as they come into the park, this could have been avoided. I realize there is a sign saying that you should reserve online, but people travelling across country may not be aware of this and the sign at the gatehouse is not big enough to easily see and notice.

Nice and shady camping spot. Noticed several dead trees in the area that need removed. Wish the interior camping spots had 50 amp in this cove.

Water pressure is lacking but other than that I enjoyed the experience. Nice big sites.

We chose a shady spot because it was fairly hot. The site we chose had electricity but no water, so we had to fill our tank. It would be really nice to have water at every site out there.
