What Guests Are Saying
Hillsboro Cove is a picturesque campground located on the water, offering clean facilities, spacious sites, and a serene atmosphere, making it a great spot for camping and fishing. Many visitors appreciate the beautiful views, quiet surroundings, and accessibility to town for supplies. However, some noted maintenance issues, particularly with the entrance road and restroom facilities, which detracted from their overall experience.

We chose a shady spot because it was fairly hot. The site we chose had electricity but no water, so we had to fill our tank. It would be really nice to have water at every site out there.

Nice family campground. Some trees need some trimming up a little higher. Very relaxing.

Great spots, wish vault bathrooms had exhaust fans, clean but hot.

Love this place and never have any issues until this last weekend. 5/14.
The week was fine until Sat when I took our dog for a walk. Unfortunately some very disrespectful folks decided to let their dogs run free, off leash and they attacked my dog who was on leash.
Although the owners were right there , the dogs did get done bites in. My dog had a cut in her face.
Very unnerving for the rest of our outing.
Be aware there are some very inconsiderate people out there to whom rules don’t seem to apply.
Also, we felt the rest rooms were not quite as clean as in the past. Normally, they’re exceptionally clean.

Grew up in Marion while the lake was being built in the 1960's. It is always fun to come back and see the lake now. We camped on a weekend that we were the only one in the park and there was only one fisherman that showed up with their boat each day. Total seclusion, peacefulness and relaxation. Hope to go back many times in the future.

We had a great, nice quiet time at the lake. We watched the eagles fly and fish and just had a wonderful time with wonderful weather!
