We love Melvern but we have noticed a change in the facility. People are parking their autos and boats on the road making it harder to get around to get to your spot. People are driving fast through the park making it unsafe for children and adults that may be riding bikes or taking walks. We are not seeing the Park Officer but once for the whole weekend. If he or she would come though and clear the roadways that would be nice.

Great as all the times we’ve been there. Facilities were in good condition. Access to camper space is good. Bathroom/showers were clean. 30 minutes to Emporia and 45 minutes to Topeka

One of our favorite campgrounds. Sites may need a bit of leveling, but not much. W/E/S, everything you need. If you are having a group gathering the pavilion is the best we have seen. We camp here every year, sometimes by ourselves, sometimes in a group.

Clean facilities, good trails, easy to find everything. Hosts were very helpful. The COE office was very accommodating. The foot bridge has interesting history and was fun to experience.

Very nice, well cared for facility. Camp hosts are helpful and friendly as well. Only wish soap was available in restrooms for hand washing.
