Been coming here since 2004 & it's one of our favorite campgrounds. Camp hosts friendly. Ranger helped with a loose shepherd angry dog that no one claimed, fishing was good, although the area on south side of bridge was littered badly. Sad.
Unfortunately that was our last camp as we are selling our coach & relocating from Emporia to KC.

When we pulled in to our spot, neighboring campers told us about the previous camper having trouble with their power. They tracked down the electrician on duty and he replaced the receptacle and breaker in the spot! We talked with the campground hosts as well- very nice folks!

I love this park. I do not love that it always seems like it needs mowed! Was this way last year too.

We love this park. Our favorite COE that we've experienced. This trip was great only complaint was the mowing and trimming.

It was great to see the park rangers come thru the outlet park frequently at 2-3 times a day. Also was great to see Park Ranger Bill Paterson walking thru the campgrounds visiting with the campers and to see if we had any concerns or complaints.
The grass was tall and my understanding is that it is only mowed every 2 weeks. Several of us ended up with seed ticks but other than that we had a great time as always and will return again. It’s our favorite park. Plus the have great volunteers as well!!
