We like this area although it’s a shadow of itself since the high water decimated the trees here several years ago. The camp host is very friendly and helpful and the views of the lake are beautiful. Most sites are 30 amp Water is good. There are very few sewer hookups. We’ll be back.

The park was very nice, however, the restrooms were out of order. I learned the grass was just cut after a long time.

Shower house was closed , out of service. No 50 amp service at old town, just 30 amp. Very quiet. Good place to stay.

A huge disappointment. We stayed at the old town park campgrounds and never been to such an unkept , filthy bathroom at an ACE. Here we go . first take a broom or brush and remove all the spiders and webs, take a power wash and spray all the walls and ceilings to include the floor with a disinfectant. Gets some green pads and start scrubbing the walls and stalls. When that’s done clean that filthy sink, that thing as not been cleaned for months maybe a year. Then cut the knee high weeds and grass so the children can play.

We have had a family reunion camp out in late September, tow years in a row. Our family reserved 12 of the 15 spots in section E this year.
This campground is by reservation on line only. The office at the gate is only open at 4:00PM and the attendant was not responsive to any of us stopping at the gate, even though he was seen playing solitaire on the computer numerous times during the four days we were there.
The water spigot for my spot had evidence of a white plastic bag in the leaver when I arrived. It sprayed out of the packing nut when I turned it on Wednesday 9/22/2021, and was finally fixed on Tuesday 9/28/2021.
No one in our group had a reasonable conversation with the camp host, yes, we had a pot luck on Saturday 9/25/2021 and the discussion took place, because several of us had negative interactions with him in September of 2020. Some of our group have camped at this campground several times this season and confirmed that he is not a people person.
Most of the trees that were standing in 2020 were cut down this fall and the lack of shade has been a major reason I have used the camp ground at Clinton reservoir this last year.
It is quiet at Old Town Camp Ground and we had a good visit. The shower house is in need of updating and repair. The shower heads were a discussion with the women and they had issues with the spray patterns, dividers and floor drainage. Non of the men discussed the showers that I am aware of.
Walk down access to the water from section E could use some cleaning and mowing, in 2020 there was a nice path mowed from the south end of the loop to the water.
There were no tags placed on the poles of our camp sites to confirm that we were registered to camp there. I would thing that no one monitored who was camping there which is an issue in other Corp of Engineers Campgrounds I have visited.

Nice park. Within driving distance to several towns. However, I usually don't go camping to go to town. The grass needed to be mowed and bathrooms needed some attention. We use our camper for bathroom but I always check out the cleanliness of the campground's. There's a nonstick there if you need that

We have a great time camping at Old Town. There are good restaurants close by. Groceries and gas are close by, as well.
