This area experienced a flood in recent years and therefore there is a part of the campground that is unusable. Also there are many dead trees as a result of the flooding. We originally chose a spot that looked to be shady but when we arrived it wasn’t. We then got on the Recreation.gov app and found another site to be available and reserved it and canceled the reservation on the original site. This, of course, cause us to loose a bunch of money on the first reservation but since it was 102 degrees for most of the time we were there the little shad we got at the new site was probably worth it. We didn’t use any amenities, the water nearby looked pretty gross. We enjoyed watching the turkey vultures flying above. Probably won’t use this campground again.

Great campground close to water. Big problem is some of the trees need trimmed. We had two.spots rented and one was unusable due to branches hanging to low. Could not get trailer parked.

Nice place to stay. Our neighbors had a yapping dog that apparently didn’t bother them but other than that it is nice

The grass needs to be mowed. The greeter needs to be a little more friendly. It would help if they would clean up around the lake so campers can go down and swim. Thanks

Very clean, easy access for fishing or boats, plenty of room to spread out, squeaky clean facilities, well-prepared sites. A winner! Staff were friendly and helpful.

I planned well in advance for my Easter weekend . I have 2 dogs that love camping with me. At home they do not wear collars or leashes but they know when we camp, they must wear their collars and leashes. I spent more time shoeing away free range dogs than sitting and relaxing. I came to relax and kick back with my girls ( my dogs ). It was a big disappointment, when dogs were running loose. I understand a dog escaping and getting a free run but it's a total different situation when dog owners don't leash their dogs. 3 days of strange dogs coming up to your campsite is no accident. I love the campground and the layout. I just wish some fellow campers would respect the rules and their fellow campers. No dog wants to be leashed but they should be allowed to chill at their campsite in peace. Respect your neighbor ,we all are there for our enjoyment....
